Learn From Those Who’ve Done It
Hey, I’m Gowtham - I write The Conveyor. 👋
The Conveyor is a publication that helps you build better supply chains by learning from operators who’ve already solved the problems you’re facing now.
Think of it as How I Built This, for supply chain.
I got into supply chains in 2017 when I started a manufacturing company. Then the pandemic hit - and everything fell apart. Shipments were delayed, parts ran out, and every week felt like a new fire drill.
There was no playbook.
I had to figure things out on the fly - usually by calling people I trusted and asking, “Have you seen this before?”
The insights that saved me didn’t come from headlines or reports.
They came from my suppliers, logistics partners, and peers - people deep in the work who had been through it themselves. And that experience taught me something simple but powerful:
Operator knowledge is priceless - but hard to find!
That's why I started The Conveyor.
Instead of just covering the news, I go deeper. I interview operators and break down how they handled real problems - step by step. Each article is a deep dive into a project: what went wrong, what they tried, what worked, and how it played out.
You’ll come away with a clearer picture of how others are doing it - and ideas you can bring back to your own team.
Besides the articles, I also send The Conveyor Daily - a short, curated email with the most important supply chain news of the day. If you’re too busy to search for the news but still want to stay informed, this helps you stay sharp without the noise.
My goal with The Conveyor is to build the resource I wish I had when I ran my business - not just to keep up, but to actually get better at running a supply chain.
If that sounds useful to you, you’re in the right place.
Hope you’ll consider joining! 📩
